Management of the Ankle/Foot Complex Seminar |
In Collaboration with the OPTL, the Physical Therapy Department at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Global University is glad to announce the First Physical Therapy Scientific Conference: “Physical Management of the Ankle-Foot Complex”
at Beit Al Tabib – Tahwitah , Beirut on Saturday the 18th of July 2009 .
The conference will highlight the latest physical techniques and therapies related to the ankle-foot complex with recent findings of the corresponding biomechanical aspects, management of the traumatic injuries, management of neurological foot, the pathomechanical model and orthotic conditions, orthopedic deformities, management in the plantar fasciitis, shock amortization, the genesis of balance, and the pathomechanical conditions of diabetic foot among other aspects related to the ankle-foot complex.

The 10th Congress of European Federation for Research in Rehabilitation
Latvia, Riga. 9-12/9/2009
The theme of the congress is “Rehabilitation and Environment.” The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) provides us with a unified language to describe the domains of ICF from the perspective of the body, the individual and society. It also lists environmental factors that interact with the individual and influence the extent of the person’s functioning. Many studies have been carried out to examine various aspects of this interaction but there is still much to be learned. The primary goal of the Congress is to present research findings and provide an update in the field of rehabilitation and environmental factors, secondly, to provide a possibility for specialists working in multiprofessional rehabilitation teams – physicians, therapists, medical nurses, psychologists, social workers, pedagogues and architects, specialists in territory planning, interior designers, builders, engineers and others – to exchange information, opinions and ideas.
We hope that you will join us in Riga and that this Congress will be an important step on our way towards an “inclusive society” in Europe.
