Based on which agreement and classifications, physical therapists (PT) competencies are presented? How PTs are perceived culturally or cognitively in the social and medical fields?
Physical Therapy practice changed drastically since the beginning of the 20th century in various professional aspects (education, treatment, management, prevention and research).
Change is also noticed in the advanced quality of scientific publications written by physical therapy researchers who were trained to carry on and complement the work of the clinicians so that physical therapy profession will be, like other medical professions, based on scientific evidence.
The 8th international congress, organized by the OPTL is perceived from this angle. Pertinent topics related to the exercise of the profession will be tackled and discussed in order to strengthen the profession’s image in the social and professional field.
Selon quelles conventions, à l’aide de quelles catégories les compétences des physiothérapeutes sont-elles représentées ? A travers quels répertoires culturels et cognitifs les physiothérapeutes sont-ils perçu(e) s, ou se présentent-ils (elles) dans l’espace médical et social ?
La pratique en physiothérapie change sensiblement depuis le début du XXème siècle dans diverses sphères de la vie professionnelle (éducation, traitement, management, prévention, recherche). La transformation se marque aussi dans l’évolution de la qualité des publications scientifiques à travers les chercheurs physiothérapeutes qui ont été formés pour continuer le travail des cliniciens afin de bien soutenir l’évidence ou la physiothérapie basée sur la preuve.
Dans cette perspective, l’Ordre des Physiothérapeutes au Liban organise son huitième congrès international abordant et discutant plusieurs sujets pertinents aux domaines d’exercices des physiothérapeutes afin de renforcer la bonne représentation de notre pratique dans le domaine social et professionnel.
